As a student of New England Shotokan Karate-do I have had the opportunity to train under my father, Sensei Roger St Pierre. I have observed my fathers dedication to karate most of my life. His passion and commitment has drawn me to actively train and learn the ways of Shotokan Karate. My training at New England Shotokan Karate-Do has proven to become a very healthy lifestyle. From the obvious physical benefits to the studying of the philosophy of shotokan and incorporating this philosophy into my daily life. I have achieved to date a Yondan (4th degree black belt) and ranked with Funakoshi Shotokan Karate Association (FSKA).
Teaching at the dojo has been part of my training and responsibilities. I have had the experience in teaching a wide rang or people "children, teenagers, adults and seniors", from ages 5yrs to 71 yrs old, male and female. This experience has given me patience and understanding of the students physical and character development. My commitment to teaching has helped many students achieve there goals and it has contributed to the success of my learning experience in shotokan.
As a manager of New England Shotokan Karate-Do's website. I am responsible for designing the overall look and feel of the website which include development, coordination, management and the ongoing maintenance of content. I also provide graphical customization of the schools logo. I am proficient in the use of many computer software programs such as Microsoft, adobe, and etc... This includes the Development in the underlying code and the use of cascading style sheets toward the goal of producing web standards compliant Web sites. I am currently working towards a degree in Microcomputing and Networking with a concentration in Web Technologies.
